2010 Football World Cup Seedings Announced

Seedings for the 2010 World Cup have been announced by FIFA. The decision was taken by FIFA to base the seedings for South Africa on the FIFA world rankings as of October 2009. This means that the seeded teams are South Africa as hosts and Brazil, Spain, Holland, Italy , Germany, Argentina and England on the basis of their FIFA rankings.
If FIFA had decided to use the world rankings from November 2009 then England would have missed out to France. Obviously FIFA's decision had nothing to do with the Henry handball controversy, or did it?
